Wow, only one? Probably reaching the top of the climb to peak over and see the Base of the Towers and the glacial lake after hiking for 4.5 hours from Ecocamp. We’d had good weather all morning and I was eager to reach the top before the weather shifted. Alas, it did not and we were rewarded with a long lunch, lots of photos and quiet time to enjoy the view before heading down.

Surviving the first day of hiking. The beauty of the glaciers. The rainbow that greeted us at the start of the hike. Lunch by the stream and refilling my water bottle in the cold, clear glacier water. The cold beer at the end.

Reaching the Torres del Paine Towers viewpoint. Tough hike with the wind blowing hard the last mile and a half. But having lunch while soaking up the view at the top made the hike ever more memorable. Actually, all the hikes we did were memorable in each of their own way. Whether we were hiking through a forest, steep incline or decline, grasslands, across a bridge, finding views to take pictures or a hundred other things.

There wasn’t a single memorable moment, rather the combined hikes, comradeship with fellow travellers and guides combined to make the trek memorable.

Personally I loved the Atacama desert which was unworldly; the gorge walk was brilliant! As were the flamingoes and the town of St Pedro. The first sightings of the volcano from Puerto Varas across the lake was also memorable.

There really wasn't one magic moment, but rather a whole series of them. Perhaps the most stunning vistas, like Mt. Fitz Roy with no clouds, but always the sense of gratitude at our privilege to be standing there in that moment.

The hiking days 1, and day 3 where we saw Paine Grande, and the Two Towers, and the Fogon Asada dinner was a highlight of Buenos Aires.

Hard to state as one wonderful event followed another. The Estancia Cerro Guido was spectacular. But, the beauty of the Patagonia Camp was without equal.

There are of course more than one memorable moment. Chalten Camp, and the wind, stormy exciting weather, beautiful hiking, even so. Excellent guides and experiences here. Loved the remoteness, quiet, and feeling we were on our own adventure/ Staff at Chalten Camp were so calm and accommodating without overwhelming. The Fitzroy coming out of the clouds for a spectacular sunset/ Every experience brought us a wealth of memories.

Hiking W Trek (3 day) and El Chalten. Completing all of the hikes was the best part. They were some really tough parts of the hike. Just immersing yourself with the nature and beauty in Patagonia itself is already a life changing and unforgettable moment.

The hike in the Huemules Reserve to Puesto Cagliero, and especially the path between Lagos Verde and Azul, was a spectacular experience that we all enjoyed. Beautiful weather and scenery, a good pace and difficulty level, and the added treat of a cozy "cafe" in the middle of the wilderness with views of the glacier.

There were many. I think I enjoyed my 2 days seeing Torre Del Paine with Ann the most. The weather was perfect and we connected on a personal level having many interests in common. She was very knowledgeable and easy to understand.

Cannot possibly choose one!! The two major hikes were outstanding and even though you've seen photos of "the top", there is nothing that can compare to making it to the top and seeing the stunning iconic views for yourself. Many other excursions were fabulous and most/all our guides, when we had them, were also outstanding. Experiencing it all with your very best friends was the sweetest icing on the cake.
