So many memorable moments! How to chose the most of them? Maybe closing down the dance floor at midnight with new friends from so many places around the globe. The grilled lunch at hot springs was a tie!

My most memorable moment was reaching the final destination of Mount Fitz Roy and then hiking a little more and seeing the most blue lagoon I have ever seen with the background of the mountains and Fitz Roy. In addition to this I really enjoyed the dinner at Andreas Madsen's farm. It seemed like the history was breathing through the walls.

Overall, being able to complete the hike, which was challenging and amazing. But the third day (John Garner pass) was probably the most memorable.

It was snowing and hailing the day we did John Gardner Pass. The groups had split into two and I was at the back of the 1st group. I trudged along, just trying to not slow anyone down. I was definitely tired and cold. I remember seeing the group resting and waiting for me to come up over the pass. When I reached them I couldn’t contain my emotions. I burst into tears. It was so unbelievably beautiful. How lucky I was that I was physically able to see this wonder. So many people will never get get the chance to experience this… and I counted my blessings and thanks.

Climbing up the last part of the Base of the Towers hike and seeing the view for the first time. This was made even more special when the clouds rolled in as we left and it began to snow. Perfect timing!

My most memorable moment was being on top of the mountain looking at the towers. Danny took us on this steep but less travelled trail to view the Towers. We were the only ones on the trail for most of the day and still provided amazing view of the Towers and panoramic view of the Patagonian valleys below. Very memorable!

Every hike we took was a new and unique experience ending with an amazing sense of accomplishment and reward. An amazing added bonus was the lovely picnic the guide provides as a surprise to help you celebrate. The base of the towers hike was mentally and physically demanding but was extremely rewarding. It's a lot of work but your mind is focused on each next step and that is the only thing- it's very peaceful and freeing!

There are too many to choose just one! One of my favorite days was day 1, when we first got to see Fitz Roy on the way to Lago del Desierto. This say was when our group kayaked at Lago del Desierto, hiked up to the Huemel Glacier and into the forest surrounding Desierto. No one realized at the start of the day that we would be able to all the activities - we thought we needed to choose between kayaking or seeing Huemel. Thankfully we were mistaken! Both activities were so incredible, and the forest on the way up to Huemel and surrounding Desierto is something else - nothing like our group was used to seeing in the Rocky Mountains. Because we had a big group, we split up into 10s between the three activities and would see each other at the exchange times, enjoy a beer from the little snack shack and our very good bagged lunches. We ended the day at the lodge to have some tea or wine and plan the next day with our incredible guides from Walk Patagonia - Nico and Sebastian. This first day was just an incredible way to start the trip and be introduced to this beautiful region all together. Wish I could go back and relive it!
