Hotel overview:
Forget the crowds; Awasi Iguazú is your private portal to the Atlantic Rainforest, placing you in one of only 14 secluded villas on stilts, each with its own plunge pool, just 20 minutes from the thunderous falls. True luxury awaits. You are assigned your own private 4WD and expert guide, allowing you to explore the jungle, kayak hidden rivers, or see the truly epic Devil’s Throat at first light, all entirely on your own terms. This is the ultimate, all-inclusive basecamp, with sophisticated, personal service. The only way to truly do Iguazú.

Why we like this hotel
- The personal welcome. Staff are friendly, service-focused and everyone knows you by name.
- Special access to the Falls first in the morning via Awasi’s exclusive first train to Devil’s Throat - you literally have the Falls to yourself!
- Relais & Châteaux restaurant is superb. Local produce and wine - enjoy delicate degustation courses with local wine pairings - tri-border influences.
- Serenity in the reserve, enjoy your private plunge pool and spacious and elegant Suites.
- Your own private guide means every need is anticipated - and you can enjoy a great mix of excursions and relaxation.
We think it's worth noting
- Brazil. Music coming across from the border late into Saturday night! Weekends are most noticeable.
- Inconsistent table service and water refills.
- Lack of plugs in the Suite, none by the beds.
- We really do recommend both sides. Brazil is watching the movie, Argentina is in the movie. Try to make use of both airports for easier logistics (otherwise, you may need to wait at the border to get from Brazil to Argentina).
