Hike for up to 9 hours on day 2 of this trek to reach the Fitz Roy base camp with incredible views of this mountain. You'll stay in Poincenot Camp and all meals will be provided during the tour. Please note that this trip is self-guided until a minimum of 3 people join the group.

Operator's Itinerary

Day 1:

Hike details: 6 hours

You will depart from El Chalten to Poincenot Camp, walking under a beautiful forest of Lengas (Nothofagus) in some parts of the trail. Once there, continue to Rio Blanco campsite (a special camp just for climbers). And there is just one more hour to get to Laguna de los Tres: the Fitz Roy base camp and the best place to have unimaginable views of this majestic mountain. After a while there, return to the camp to have dinner. 

Accommodation: Poincenot Camp

Meals: Box-Lunch, Dinner

Day 2:

Hike details: 5 hours

After breakfast, leave Poincenot camp to Laguna Torre. On the way you will visit Lagunas Madre and Hija (Mother and daughter). After 2hs to 2.5hs, you will arrive at Laguna Torre. This is a beautiful place with amazing views. If weather permits, you will see the mystic Cerro Torre, Loma de las Pizarras and Cerro Solo among others. From here, it will be around 3hs to return to El Chalten.
