Operator's Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Puerto Natales; Trek to Weber Bridge

We'll take a transfer from Puerto Natales to Estancia Lazo – a 13,000 hecare cattle ranch on the shore of Laguna Verde. From here we'll start the trek into the Torres del Paine National Park. The trail is mostly flat through areas of beech and coihue forest. Along this stretch you could see condors, caranchos, guanacos, woodpeckers and owls.

We'll reach Honda Lagoon and then hike on to Lake Toro lookout where we'll have stunning panoramic views of the moutnains, rivers, lakes and glaciers surrounding us. From here we'll make a short descent to Weber Bridge where a private transfer will take us 20mins to our campsite on the shores of the Serrano River.

Here we'll settle in, enjoy a welcome dinner and relax with views of the Paine Massif.

Private transfer: 2hrs

Length of hike: 5hrs, 13km

Meals: Picnic lunch, dinner

Accommodation: Serrano Base Camp

Day 2: Trek the Pingo Valley; Glacier Grey boat trip

Today we'll have a hearty breakfast before taking a 30-min transfer to the start of our trek into the Pingo Valley. We'll hike to the viewpoint at 'Cascada los Salmones' from where the views are simply breathtaking.

After a picnic lunch by the Pingo River we'll hike through a beech forest to the boat dock and take a trip past blue icebergs to the vast face of Glacier Grey. We can stay here a while, soaking up the view and perhaps witness huge blocks of ice calving from the glacier. We'll also see the wind-sculpted 'ice mushrooms' on the peaks of Paine Grande.

Once back on dry land we'll take a transfer back to our campsite to enjoy a delicious dinner and well-deserved night's rest.

Private transfer: 30mins

Length of hike: 3hrs, 10km

Length of boat trip: 3hrs

Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner

Accommodation: Serrano Base Camp

Day 3: Trek the French Valley

After another hearty breakfast admiring the sunrise on the Paine Massif we'll take a private transfer to Lake Pehoe, followed by a catarmaran journey to Refugio Paine Grande. From here we start the trek to the entrance of the French Valley where there is a huge glacial moraine.

We'll follow trails in to the valley, catching sight of the awesome hanging glaciers and then ascend for around an hour through a dreamlike Japanese garden landscape to reach the French Valley vewpoint. From here there are spectacular views of the French Glacier and Paine Grande on one side and on the other the horns of Los Cuernos reach to the sky.

While at the viewpoint we'll take time to enjoy our picnic lunch and soak up the views before returning back to Refugio Paine Grande along the same path. The catamaran will then speed us across the lake to our private transfer back to our campsite.

Private transfer: 30mins each way

Catarmaran: 30mins each way

Length of hike: 7-8hrs, 17km

Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner

Accommodation: Serrano Base Camp

Day 4: Wildlife and puma safari at Laguna Azul

After an early breakfast we'll head out to meet up with our local wildlife guide. We'll head to where guanacos and pumas were last spotted – this is usually near the nature trail on the border of Lago Sarmiento.

If we spot a puma there will hopefully be the opportunity for photos, but we need to respect them and not disturb their way of life so we can't hang around too long. Whilst our guide will do their best to spot these magnificent animals in their wild habitat, we cannot guarantee that sightings will be made. We can hopefully see more puma while hiking in specific areas of the park before taking a vehicle to Laguna Azul.

At the lagoon we'll be able to see various species of birds who inhabit the area as we walk along the beach and wetlands. There will also be fantastic views of the surrounding mountain peaks, set against the backdrop of the Patagonian sky.

We'll have a picnic lunch here and then return to the campsite for another evening of sumptuous food and well-deserved rest and relaxation.

Today's itinerary is subject to change depending on the guide's suggestions for wildlife spotting. We expect guests to be open to last-minute changes in order to get the most from this day.

Wildlife safari: 8-10hrs

Total length of hike: 6-8km

Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner

Accommodation: Serrano Base Camp

Day 5: Trek to Las Torres (The Towers) lookout

We'll start the day with an energy-packed breakfast to prepare us for our final day of activity. A private transfer will take us to the Las Torres area of the park where we'll start the trek, following the Ascencio River into the Ascencio Valley.

An hour into the trek we'll take a break at a viewpoint to admire the beech forests, glaciers and waterfalls surrounding us. From here it's uphill through more forests to the gargantuan terminal moraine where we'll have stunning views of Las Torres.

It's at this viewpoint where we'll rest up, take phots and have a picnic lunch before descending on the same path to meet our private transfer to Puerto Natales.

Today's grand finale, at one of Patagonia's most iconic viewpoints, will be a fitting end to five wonderful days in Torres del Paine National Park.

Private transfers: 2hrs to trailhead; 2hrs to Puerto Natales

Length of hike: 8-10hrs, 22km

Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch
