We love the location of this hotel in the Serrano village but we no longer recommend it. We prefer the Serrano Camp or Hotel Rio Serrano which are just next door.

Discover MoreEven though it's situated on the outskirts of the park, Hotel del Paine offers day hike excursions to see all the main trekking highlights, including the French Valley, Base of the Towers and Glacier Grey. Located right by the Serrano River, you can also easily join fishing excursions, or board a boat to sail along the river to a nearby waterfall. Many excursions have a flora and fauna focus, great for nature enthusiasts.
Excursions come at an extra cost unless you are on the all-inclusive programme, which has a slightly reduced set of excursions on offer but does also offer a trip out to see the penguins of Isla Magdalena.
Hotel del Paine is part of Serrano village, a cluster of hotels that sit south of Torres del Paine along the banks of the Serrano river. The entrance to the national park is around 3km from the hotel, and it's location means the views of the entire Paine massif are stunning. Transfers to the hotel aren't included, but it is possible to organise a private transfer or take a bus from Puerto Natales.
You can be certain of delicious local produce and regional flavours here, at a hotel which takes enormous pride in its kitchen. There's a grill for fish and and quincho for traditional roasted meat, supplemented with piles of organic vegetables salads straight from the hotel's very own greenhouse. All breakfast baked goods are made in-house, and they also make their own berry ice cream.
Those wishing to savour a little traditional Patagonian cuisine, prepared with flair and to a high standard, will not be disappointed.
Choose one of the double, twin or triple rooms, each of which comes with a private bathroom. The central heating in every room will be appreciated during the night when temperatures plummet. Ask for one of the rooms with views of the mountains.
