Day 2: Tour of Tigre and San Isidro

Today you can enjoy a small group tour to the Tigre Delta, travelling right from the heart of Buenos Aires by catamaran. You'll have some fantastic views of the city skyline from the River Plate, its northern areas and arrive at the channels of the Paraná Delta after about 1.5hrs sailing. You'll explore some of the intricate waterways of this fascinating delta region before disembarking and visiting the small touristic town of Tigre on foot. Return to Buenos Aires by small vehicle, stopping off at the historical suburb of San Isidro to see the beautiful cathedral and quaint cobbled streets.

This evening's highlight is the Argentine Experience: a unique blend of food, wine and interacting with local people. Learn how to make traditional empanadas, dine on grilled provolet cheese with sliced chorizo sausage, warm bread and homemade chimichurri. Order a steak in Spanish and make your own traditional mate. Your guides throughout the evening will answer all of your questions on Argentine cuisine and culture.

Excursion: Half-day small-group guided tour to the Tigre Delta. Evening small-group Argentine Experience with hosts.

Note: The Tigre Delta excursion may operate in reverse, depending on the catamaran sailing times.

Seeing my first puma in the wild - imperious, at ease, powerful, and very beautiful. An amazimg moment.

I cannot think of one particular moment that stands out. The most memorable are all my wow! moments when first seeing a particular mountain or glacier.

The entire experience at Torres del Paine EcoCamp. Everyone there believes in the power of nature and sustainability and human connection. It was truly a magical place.

The hikes at El Chalten and the hikes/views of Torres Del Paine National park were spectacular, as was the day spent seeing the Morena Glacier. The town of El Chalten is an experience all it's own! We also really enjoyed El Calafate and Puerto Natales. Even the drive from El Calafate to Puerto Natales was very beautiful and memorable. I can not pick one most memorable moment.

All of the cruise was memorable, particularly the storm around Cape Horn with 100mph+ winds and 6 meter waves. The glaciers and scenery, were truly spectacular. It was good to be in a relatively small group of people.

There were many memorable moments but probably the most memorable was the first day's hike to Laguna de los Tres - just geeting there gave us a great sense of accomplishment, the views were marvelous, and our guide was excellent.

There wasn't a "most memorable moment". It was an overall, ongoing fluid number of multiple moments. The trip was planned in such a way that we experienced the sheer vastness and beauty of nature for 7 days straight; landscape, animals, scenery, weather. The city visits (Valparaiso and Buenos Aires ) were guided in a way that we felt we understood all about each city's energy and culture. Having said all of the above, the providers at each piece of our trip were excellent! Above and beyond customer service was demonstrated in all avenues. My favorite place to be was Camp Patagonia! The food was 5 star.

Flying into Buenos Aires the day of the World Cup Soccer Parade set the tone for an amazing holiday. It just kept getting better from there - from a delicious meal at the Argentine Experience to everything Patagonia loved everything El Chalten had to offer (hikes, food, local flair, and our guide Gilda was phenomenal!)

My most memorable moment was reaching the final destination of Mount Fitz Roy and then hiking a little more and seeing the most blue lagoon I have ever seen with the background of the mountains and Fitz Roy. In addition to this I really enjoyed the dinner at Andreas Madsen's farm. It seemed like the history was breathing through the walls.

Each leg of the adventure was unique and fulfilled an aspect of a perfect vacation. The stunning Mountain View’s, beautiful weather and multiple faune and flora encounters during our hike in Patagonia is especially memorable. Watching Argentina win the World Cup while in Argentina was in reversible too.

Standing at the foot of Tres Torres in the sunlight..no clouds or rain and few people.......My suggestion to any who wish to do the hike is to start from the hotel by 6:30. On the way down there were so many people and groups , ( peak season I’m sure) one had to keep moving over and waiting whereas going up early you had the trail pretty much to yourself you could look around and just relish the fabulous land forms, ecosystems, and natural beauty surrounding you. The other hikes were amazing as well but only this one was totally clear.
