The glaciers! Being so close after a zodiac from the ship. Seeing and hearing the enormity of the ice at Pia Glacier. Our earth is a magnificent place.

It was the most amazing trip, surrounded by the most beautiful nature. One of my favorite moments was seeing the top of our hike on fitz Roy. I also loved the lagoon Azul, the sight is something I won't forget!

W trek is unbelievable. Our guide, Jose, was absolutely spectacular. Most memorable moment - probably the 17 or 18 miles we did from Cuernos to Paine Grande. What a day!!

It's honestly difficult to provide one most memorable moment from this epic trip. Rounding and making landfall on Cape Horn (on my birthday) probably stands out. I think that's due in part to the unpredictable weather and conditions that make this a "last minute" decision to include on the itinerary. When it actually happened, there was a surreal and somewhat spiritual element to the arrival on Cape Horn. Immense kudo's and respect to all the Ventus Australis crew!!!

There were a lot of great experiences and amazing sunrises, sunsets, and mountain vistas. I would say the pinnacle of the adventure was climbing to the towers in Torres del Paine. It is a long trek but seeing the Torres with the lake behind was stunning. I would have loved to have hiked up halfway and spent the night in Chileno Refugio, left early and saw the sunrise at the Torres. Maybe another time if we can do it again.

All of the hikes were amazing. Our guide Jose was super knowledgeable and fun. The cabins at Refugio Cuernos and the fun hang out were so memorable.

So many…the friendly people, the dedication of all our guides to conservation and education, the Torres at sunrise, the first Quanco…and the 100th, a Hairy Armadillo, the glaciers, landing at Cape Horn on my Birthday, Buenos Aires…did I mention the people?
