Highlight - Really enjoyed the Fitz Roy hike in El Chaten I thought having a guided W Trek added a lot to the experience. Would definitely recommend a guided trek.

The trip was incredible. The destinations are wild, unique, and absorbing. Every location took hold of us and offered so much more than we could do given our two weeks in the area. We found the people very pleasant and friendly, and the guides at the independent operators were knowledgeable, skillful and committed to ensuring that our family had the best experience possible. We were surprised by exceptional weather with clear skies all day but one! Coming down from the pass to Grey Glacier was unforgettable, as was Perito Moreno and Laguna los Tres.

Highlight: Puerto Varas generally and Valparaiso - loved both "cities". With F & F the activities are being talked about the most - kayaking, trekking, riding, fishing etc - not all enjoyable while happening (trekking and kayaking were hard work) - but great achievements once done! Dolphins circling kayaks one highlight and watching them in the bay the next morning from our tent. Seeing Darwin frog in Tagua Tagua another. Barraco Lodge generally enjoyed by my 10 year old - dogs, hot tubs and watching helicopters taking off and landing!

The second day of the dientes was my favorite, landscapes were magificient. Chino, the guide and Raul and Jaime the porters were fantastic. I was surprised how good the food was on the trek.

Amazing! Great season to visit Patagonia - all seasons in 1 day (spring, summer, fall, winter). The view was so picturesque. Guides were knowledgeable and amazing!

Highlights: Wilderness of Isla de Navarino, and climbing surprisingly interesting and spectacular peaks from El Chaltén. Birdlife was prolific and spectacular. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Almost everything was surprising. Not to have time in the wilder off-trail parts of the Paine region was disappointing.

We loved Argentina and Patagonia. The views and hikes were incredible. Truly. The day and hike to Mt Fitz Roy will remain a lifelong memory. We did not see any wildlife - so I am sorry about that. The people were generous and warm and welcoming. Surprised by how closed down things were over the holidays - Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Things just shut down. Good to know if you are planning a trip to have other things planned.

TdP was our main goal, and undoubtedly a highlight, but not the only one. We loved the wide open spaces (we do live on the Prairies!) and the spectacular, unique TdP and area mountains. We saw lots of fauna and flora, especially birds. No Pumas though. Our guide and hiking companions were great -- and most others we met and chatted to were on similar trips. We learnt from them early on and later gave them advice. No grandchildren, but paramount in our memories is wind. Several surprises, mostly good.

Unfortunately, what I will never forget is being violently ill all night over New Years' Eve in the bathroom of a refugio, likely due to either food poisoning or a bacterial infection from the water. But on a more positive note, constantly being wowed by natural wonders I had never seen before, from the glacier to the wildflowers, was the most impressive and memorable part.

I don’t think it’s possible to one! Seeing a Puma in Torres del Paine, reaching the towers lookout, rafting in Futaleufú, wildlife in Raul Marin Balmeceda….and the Andes and the Andes……

My group all agreed that we had 2 "best days" on this trip 1. The hike from Central Camping to Cuernos Refugio. We didn't expect anything from this day, but the hike was absolutely stunning! The green-blue hue of the lake, the condors overhead, and the easy trail all made for a great day outdoors. The icing on the cake was the Christmas Eve festivities at the refugio. The staff went above an beyond to create a warm, celebratory atmosphere and a holiday to remember. 2. Our overnight kayaking trip definitely under promised and over delivered. We had excellent weather and watched the clouds lift and reveal the volcano views and counted dolphins, sealions, and birds on our 15km paddle. We expected to camp on a farm, but we stayed in a private refugio overlooking the fjord. After sensing that we weren't up for the 2 hour hike our guide, Felipe, offered a 15 minute hike to a river to drink a cold beer which was just the thing - and then he set up a delicious charcuterie board for us. The night ended with a homecooked meal, cards, and a hot shower.

We spent three nights at the Puesto Cagliero Hut in the Huemules reserve. It was so peaceful, so few people, amazing scenery and we did an great hike to Neumayer Glacier - up the via ferrata and glacier hike. Emiliano was our guide and he, and his assistant Valerie were wonderful. And the staff at Puesto Cagliero were all incredible and the food was delicious. We would highly recommend this adventure to everyone who wants a remote experience.
