- Run by seven brothers and sisters, Mallin Colorado is a home away from home.
- The location is ideal for exploring the Marble Caves, Patagonia National Park and the best views of the Northern Patagonian Icefield without hiking for very long.
- They have 500 hectares of private land - you can hike or horse ride (guided rides are offered daily and included in your stay).
- Enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals.
- You have sweeping views of the cerulean blue lake from all angles.
We think it's worth noting
- We wouldn't class it as an Ecolodge, despite some attempts to be more sustainable.
- The staff could be more proactive with service but friendly if you ask for help.
- There is no WIFI in the cabins (only in the main lodge).

I love that you have views across Chelenko Lake from every room/cabin. Lodgings are simple and tastefully decorated with a few eclectic items. It only took us around 40 minutes to get to Mirador Pires and the panoramic perspective of the North Icefield was nothing short of spectacular.

Accommodation comprises a wooden house, the Casa Lenga, with six en suite rooms and four log cabins, all named after local species of tree and with superb views of Lake General Carrera. There are four double rooms and two triples, plus a cosy central living room.
There are four private wooden cabins, all with views and a wood burning stove; these are perfect for couples, families, or groups of friends.
Each cabin is spaced well apart from the next; this provides lots of privacy, which really enhances the peacefulness of the surroundings.
