After being transferred to the hotel, you may have time to go on an easy-going afternoon excursion. If not, you will be at liberty to enjoy the spa and restaurant, and to go out for an evening stroll to explore the surrounding wilderness.
Accommodation: Luxury Hotel
Meals: Dinner
Day 2: Grey Lake
Departing from the hotel by van, you will pass through the most beautiful viewpoints of the National Park until reaching the Grey Entrance. From here, you'll begin hiking through the Pingo valley, navigating a gently sloping path which follows the bed of the Pingo River. This is one of the greenest areas of the park where it is also possible to see interesting geographical formations.
As you continue on, you'll pass by an old "puesto" of the gauchos and reach the "Chorrillo del Salmon" – a small waterfall hidden in a Nothofagus wood. You will then start the return route, following the same trail. After stopping for lunch, you'll visit the picturesque Grey Lake where icebergs float on the water from the Grey Glacier, which can also be seen in the distance.
Difficulty: easy
Length of hike: 3.5 hours
Accommodation: Luxury Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 3: Cordillera Baguales
This is an intense hike, gaining altitude constantly and with excellent chances of seeing wildlife. You will enter the area of Cordillera Baguales, one of the least explored parts of the region, then begin the hike of 650 metres altitude over 3 hours.
At the summit you'll come across some interestingly formed sedimentary rocks which have been eroded into whimsical shapes, as well as stunning views of Torres del Paine and the surrounding valleys when the weather is clear. On the way back, you walk along the edge of a beautiful and ancient Lenga forest, close to Las Chinas river.
Difficulty: hard
Length of hike: 5.5–6.5 hours
Accommodation: Luxury Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Day 4: Cerro Guido
The hike starts at Estancia Cerro Guido. The first section climbs steadily as you proceed, passing first through forests and then opening up to wetlands where it is possible to spot guanacos. Little by little and as you gain altitude the landscape turns rocky and dry, as it is exposed to the wind, until you reach the summit. From here, you will have panoramic views of Paine Massif and Cordillera Baguales. You'll be able to enter the ancient world of the Aonikenk, as the rugged Cerro Guido summit is crowned by a native Indian burial mound.
