Landmarks visited on Adventure Trek to Mount Paine
Late afternoon meet with the Guide at Camping Las Torres (Next to Las Torres Hotel) Introduction of trip details (equipment, safety, leave no trace ethic).
This day we leave the main trails behind and ascend Cerro Paine. Trek through native lenga forests up the side of Cerro Paine. Where the forest ends begin hiking toward the summit. The trail traverses a section of beautiful sedimentary rock, the largest concentration in the entire park. We mount false summits along a ridge that offer increasingly incredible views of the surrounding lowlands and lakes. Eventually, we reach the summit of Cerro Paine at close to 5,000 feet and are rewarded with an uncompromised panorama, which includes the best possible view of the Torres Del Paine. Our excursion will continue for the highest peaks of Cerro Paine formation to the foot of Cerro Corner Stone, where is the spot to make a quick descent into the Japanese Camp.
Trek by a moraine of granite into the Silence Valley during the day. It is a privileged place with a great view of the west faces of the Torres del Paine. The Shield and Fortress are the bigger granite walls in Paine that have captured the attention of mountaineers for decades.
Trek by the Asencio Valley, we will have the option to climb up to the look out of the Towers, one of the highlights of the Park: the base of the towers themselves, seen from up close, next to a beautiful green lagoon with a vertical rock face towering more than 1,000 meters directly upward. We continue our Trek to Las Torres Hotel. Guide go back to Puerto Natales.
