Operator's Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival

On arrival in Ushuaia, you will be met by a guide and transferred to your luxury hotel on the shores of the Beagle Channel.

Day 2 & 3 - Your choice of included excursions

Choose from a selection of excursions (this is just a selection of what is on offer - please enquire for more details and options):

• Trek in the Park - Full Day

Visit Tierra del Feugo National Park, and travel deep into the heart of nature with hikes to the Rio Pipo waterfall, Ensenada Bay, Lake Acigami, Laguna Verde and Las Lengas, finishing at the very end of the world, Lapataia Bay.

Difficulty: Moderate, 8hrs

• Vincinguerra Glacier Adventure

Trek through a landscape of peat bogs, rivers, streams, and waterfalls, to the extremely beautiful iceberg lagoon, found at the base of the glacier (725m above sea level).

Difficulty: Hard, 8hrs (shorter version available)

• Lapataia Expedition

Take a train to the End of the World and visit Ensenada Bay, stopping at the southernmost post office in the world. A walk to Lake Roca and then a sailing trip along the Beagle Channel completes your journey around this beautiful southern Andean landscape.

• Visit to a penguin colony

Set sail from Ushuaia to Alicia island, the perfect spot for some Patagonian bird watching.Look out for steamer duck, upland goose, grey gull, kelp gull and Antarctic dove on the way to see the colony of Magellanic penguins living on Martillo island

• Sail the Beagle Channel to Isla Redonda

Journey by boat to the tranquil island of Isla Redonda and hike a beautiful and remote woodland trail on one of the most southerly islands in the world.

Difficulty: Moderate, 8hrs

• Trek a trio of lakes

This hike will bring you panoramic views of Tierra del Fuego, lenga forests and the beauty of three Patagonian lakes: Gemelas, Escondido and Fagnano. A traditional Fueguian lamb barbeque will complete your day out in the wilderness.

Difficulty: Moderate, 7hrs

• Monte Susana Adventure

Climb Mount Susana (625m) for splendid views of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel. Along the way, you can enjoy the display of indigenous flowers and fruits that line the route.

Difficulty: Moderate, 4hrs

• Visit to a penguin colony and Harberton / Puerto Almanza

Take a boat tour to combine a visit to the delightful Magellanic penguin colony of Martillo island with the chance to visit either the historic estancia (ranch) at Harberton or a small artisan fish harbour at Puerton Almanza

Difficulty: Easy, 7hrs

• Fueguian cooking demonstration

Discover the secrets of Fueguian cuisine by preparing and then enjoying delicious recipes of king crab caught in  the Beagle Channel and black hake from the cold waters of the South Atlantic.

Difficulty: Easy, 2hrs

• Sub-Antarctic bird watching

The Tierra del Fuego National Park with its coastline. mountains, rivers and wetlands the ideal environment for  bird-watching. Seek out the Andean condor, the giant woodpecker, the Fuegian steamer duck and the great grebe, amongst others.

Difficulty: Moderate, 8hrs

• Fishing at Lago Escondido

Cross the majestic Andes to Lago Escondido (Hidden Lake), where a day of adventure and trout fishing awaits. You will find Fontinallis, Brown and Rainbow trout, and afterwards enjoy lunch and a fire on the shores of the lake.

Day 4 - Departure

After your buffet breakfast you will be transferred to either the port of Ushuaia or the airport.

This trip can run as a group trip, with prices starting from $878 per person for a complete group. If you are looking to join a group or you are a solo traveller we will help to form likeminded groups of travellers. Please let us know your travel plans.
