Hiking in Patagonia

The trek itself was beautiful and physical without being too exhausting or challenging. Our guide and the second guide that came for training were both fantastic. The different accommodations along the way provided a variety of experiences, which we appreciated. We felt lucky to do the trek in a new moon as we have never seen the full milky way with so little light pollution! Finally, we loved the hot springs at the end; it was great to end with a swim and soak and they were a special experience. Read the full review

The scale and remoteness are difficult to express and comprehend. Yet the hikes and horseback rides allow you to completely immerse in it, getting close to wildlife and feeling the powerful natural forces at work. Read the full review

Make sure to plan a mix of guided and non-guided activities if you can. The guided hikes took us to places in the park that we would have never seen and the self-guided W Trek allowed us to feel a bit of autonomy on the trip. Ending our adventures with a kayak can not be recommended enough. It's an incredible way to view different parts of the park, give your legs a rest and have a change of pace in adventure!
