What was your most memorable moment?
I think the most memorable moment on the trail was finally getting to the view points in the French Valley and Mirador del Torre. They were breath taking. The most memorable moments off trail were enjoying time with our group and amazing guides at the end of each day.

Tell us about Torres del Paine
The park itself was beautiful and beyond what I expected. The hikes were difficult but doable and worth it. We had beautiful weather the entire time which definitely helped the views. The trails in some spots are difficult to navigate so I’m glad we went with our guides. The highlights were for sure The Towers and The French Valley. I also enjoyed on our last day, taking the short hike from Refugio Grey to the first hanging bridge to see the glacier.
Tell us about the Trekking
Our guides were wonderful. They were super knowledgeable about everything from the park to the animals to Chilean culture. The Refugios were also very comfortable and the food was good.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Based on my personal preferences when traveling, I would recommend going with a guide and staying in the Refugios. Some people in our group were in the tents which they also said were comfortable. Swoop made the whole process easy and I would recommend traveling with them. The local tour company, Chile Nativo was also wonderful and assisted in every way.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
If there was any recommendation I would make, it would be to add a 5 or 10 minute stop on the way out of the park at the end of the W at a park view point for some pictures and really take in what we just did. We saw it while we were driving and we tried to take pictures but it was difficult out of windows and on bumpy roads. It was a beautiful day and I really wished we could have stopped.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I felt prepared but that was mostly because I did an extensive amount of research and planning outside of what was provided. There were others in our group who I don't think were as prepared as at the meeting the night before departure they figured out they were missing things like trekking poles. All of the information and packing lists provided by Swoop were helpful but my extra research is what really filled out the list of things that we needed to bring.
