Operator's Itinerary

Day 1:

Your guide will meet you at Temuco airport. Overnight stay in Malalcahuello guesthouse.

Day 2:

Lonquimay volcano 2,890m, a place of outstanding natural beauty with its snowcapped crater offering amazing views of its neighbouring volcanoes. Ski descent 1,400m.

Day 3

Free day. Optional activities include the spa and hot springs at Termas de Malalcahuello or touring around Cerro Cautin or the abandoned ski centre Los Arenales.

Day 4:

Las Araucarias ski area and Llaima volcano 3,125m, one of the most active volcanoes in the whole of the Andes. Ski descent of 1,600m. Drive to Pucón.

Day 5:

Free day. Optional activities in Pucón include horse riding, tree top canopy, spas and hot springs.

Day 6:

From Ski Pucón ski area up to Villarrica volcano 2,847m. Ski descent of 1,600m with amazing views of Villarrica lake, the towns of Pucón and Villarrica.

Day 7:

Quetrupillán volcano 2,300m. Climb though Araucaria and southern beech forest cumulating at the huge and flat crater. Ski descent of 900m.

Day 8:

Drive to Neltume, near Mocho and Choshuenco volcanoes, a scenic and pleasant 2-hour drive with a stop at Termas Geométricas.

Day 9:

Mocho and Choshuenco volcanoes 2,422m & 2,415 in the middle of a private reserve. Snowmobiles will take us as high as the plateau between the two volcanoes. Ski descent 900m.

Day 10:

Transfer to Puerto Varas in the heart of the Chilean Lake District. Drive though the picturesque villages of Choshuenco and Panguipulli. We then hit the Panamericana Sur, with many volcanoes visible on a clear day.

Day 11:

Osorno volcano 2,652m. A scenic drive along the southern shores of Llanquihue lake will take us to the ski area. The views from the summit are fantastic, on a nice day you can see the Pacific fjords and open sea, the island of Chiloé, the big Llanquihue and Todos Los Santos lakes along with another half a dozen volcanoes. Return to Puerto Varas.

Day 12:

Free day with plenty to do around Puerto Varas or the possibility of a full-day visit to Chiloé island with its great cultural heritage and fabulous seafood cuisine.

Day 13:

Morning transfer to Puerto Montt airport.
