There were several. As an older male, I did not know if I had the stamina to complete the climb associated with the Torres del Paine. The guides were encouraging and a long held wish was accomplished. Secondly, for many years I have wanted to experience the cultures of Chile and Argentina. The trip far exceeded my expectations. It was wonderful to listen to the stories of local guides and listen to their dreams and passions. Thirdly, Iguazu Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil was breathtaking. Never have I seen such a commanding sight. The enthusiasm of our guide Emanuel will remain in my memory.

All the trip was beyond my expectations. I think it was just being present in both Argentina (El Chalatan) and in Chile (ecodomes). The place, the scenery, the animals, the vegetation, all of it.

The glacier field in Los Glaciares National Park and viewing the Perito Moreno Glacierlos glacier via boat and more impressively from the walking paths. Maybe the most extraordinary nature scene I have ever seen. Thank you for scheduling that and not having me hike on the Glacier which initially I was disappointed the tour did not include. After getting there and seeing it in person, great decision by the Swoop Team.

Cape Horn first thing in the morning was gorgeous and the Tierra Patagonia hotel was the hands down nicest place we have ever stayed. Great amenities, delightful staff, great food.

The hiking, the scenery, and our guides were AMAZING! But I think meeting and connecting with people from all over the globe is my most memorable moment. The world is huge, and yet seems smaller and cozier having met travelers from everywhere!

Too many to choose just one. But, when my husband and I were hiking alone, a large group of horses with 2 gauchos came down the mountain unexpectedly. We were directly in their path and I thought "this is it, we are about to get trampled". Much to my pleasure and surprise, the horses just flowed around us, like water over rocks. It was magical and memorable! The gaucho at the rear of the group had a huge smile on his face as he was filming us on his cell phone while simultaneously whooping at the horses, keeping them in line. He yelled "Buenos dias!"

The glaciers! Being so close after a zodiac from the ship. Seeing and hearing the enormity of the ice at Pia Glacier. Our earth is a magnificent place.
