Reaching the Torres del Paine Towers viewpoint. Tough hike with the wind blowing hard the last mile and a half. But having lunch while soaking up the view at the top made the hike ever more memorable. Actually, all the hikes we did were memorable in each of their own way. Whether we were hiking through a forest, steep incline or decline, grasslands, across a bridge, finding views to take pictures or a hundred other things.

I wanted to experience two things. Silly, but the first was drinking from a stream in Patagonia. I did! Second, being able to get to Cape Horn. (It was always “weather permitting”). Also did that! I loved the hikes and the scenery was incredible.

There were so many! Hiking in and around El Chalten, El Calafate. Our cruise and Cape Horn were magnificent. Torres de Paine was stunning and our accommodation there was absolutely perfect. The guiding throughout was top notch. Loved the fishing with John Joy and Tres Rios.

Either the first sight of the Petitio Moreno Glacier, or the first proper sight of the 3 towers at the base of the towers walk in Torres del Paine. Or, actually, watching 3 condors flying below us in El Chalten!

We especially enjoyed Aysen and Patagonia National Park with the highlight being our Lagunas Altas hike on a lovely sunny day and staying at Explora PNP.

Easter Island. Nyara was good. I loved the excursions. Also the glacier in Perito Moreno. It was beautiful viewing from the platforms. And of course Tierra Patagonia was over the top fantastic.

We created so many amazing memories that it's very difficult to choose just one. However, our stay at Torres Patagonia and our hike to Cerro Torre were absolutely incredible.

There were two! Seeing condors flying below us from El Filo hike at El Chalten, and seeing the clouds part just as we reached the Base of the Towers in Torres del Paine

There was not one - Walking on a glacier, horse back riding on an estancia, eating at Don Julio and Valperaiso in Chile to name a few.

Fishing at Estancia Cristina. A beautiful setting and helpful guides led to a great experience, resulting in a catch-and-release of a very large chinook salmon.

Cape Horn first thing in the morning was gorgeous and the Tierra Patagonia hotel was the hands down nicest place we have ever stayed. Great amenities, delightful staff, great food.
