What was your most memorable moment?
There are too many to count. The second I saw the park it was so amazingly beautiful. And as I walked through the park, I liked seeing how the landscape changed. The ice hike was an incredible experience.

Tell us about Torres del Paine
The landscape is so beautiful. There is so much to see. While the hike can be incredibly difficult at times, it’s worth it. You will also experience many types of weather in a short period of time. Having hot food and a bed to sleep in at the refugios really made it luxury backpacking.
Tell us about the Excursions
Our Chile Nativo guide, Ramiro, was amazing. He made sure that everyone stayed safe and had a great time.
Tell us about the ice hiking
The guides were always helpful and made sure we understood safety protocols. It was such an interesting once in a lifetime experience. I absolutely recommend it.
Tell us about the Kayaking
Our guides made sure that we understood what to do. While I have kayaked, I had never been in a double person kayak before. It is still worth trying, but make sure you both agree on which direction to be paddling because the water is a little choppy.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Be physically prepared.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I feel like I learn something new with most experiences. I think it is a good reminder not to give up when facing a challenge and to enjoy whatever comes your way.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The team is great!
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
I wish I would have been a little more physically prepared. The rest of my group could hike twice as quickly.
