What was your most memorable moment?
Hiking everywhere but particularly the three peaks in El Chaltén, the Towers in Torres del Paine and the French Meadow. While all our guides were terrific, Nino at Torres del Paine was such a remarkable young women that it was a joy to spend a rainy hike with her.

Tell us about Hotel Las Torres
Wonderful place to stay. Some would say aged but it is really just charming.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
9 days is a great taste but 30 or more is really required.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I used to believe that the jewels of the US National Park system were unbelievable. While they still are, parts of Patagonia make Yellowstone, Yosemite and Glacier look like overcrowded neighborhood parks with average sites.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The transfer from Torres del Paine to El Chaltén is a long day requiring too many providers. I’m sure it is the result of borders but anything that could simplify it would be great.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Wonderfully excited.
