How was the service that Swoop provided?

Swoop was great in that they helped guide me to finding the right guided trip in the winter. Without Swoop, planning this trip would have been a lot more tricky! Nothing could have been done differently.

How was your winter adventure in Torres del Paine?

We had great transportation, Torres del Paine was everything we had hoped for and more. Our guide, Chuma, was fantastic. He knew all about the plants and animals, as well as helped us practice our Spanish along the whole route. The accommodations were generally good--however, Paine Grande did not have any heat for both nights that we were there. This was unfortunate as it was Winter and it was extremely cold! Other than that, the other lodges were great.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Winter time was great for us because we had the park to ourselves and there was no wind at all. It was also great for hiking with our backpacks, because we still got quite hot with the exercise--if it were any hotter, it would have been uncomfortable for us. For those going in winter, I would suggest that they dress as if they are going into the snow--packing layers is crucial, as I would get hot and cold all of the time.
