Overall, how was your trip?

Walk on and view of Perito Mareno glacieer Moon Valley walk in Atacama desert Staying at Explora hotels in Atacama and Torres Landscapes were extraordinary, as were penguins and flamingoes Guides were all fabulous Definitely recommend Patagonia, Atacama, Explora and Swoop Most magical: Mareno, Moon Valley, Salt flats at sunset

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

Patagonia was fabulous; a great adventure; and it more than lived up to our expectations.

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Yes, pleased that we used Swoop We felt like we went to all the right places; had some issues with time spent in airports but perhaps that is unavoidable Swoops service was extraordinary; website was extremely helpful We did not have to call on 24/7 support Can't think of anything we would have done differently

How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?

10 out of 10

How was your experience in the Atacama desert?

Explora hotel was magnificent Moon Valley and Salt Flats at sunset were highlights Excursions were awsome Scenery and experiences exceeded our expectations Accommodation was the best, as were guides Transport worked as expected but we had a longer than preferred layover in Santiago; we could have made the morning flight to Calama since our international flight left earlier. While we booked the flight to Santiago ourselves, and Avianca did not provide any advance notice of departure change, it would have been better if Swoop had control of that somehow.

How was your experience in Buenos Aires?

Everything went well Hotel was great; staff very helpful; room was the largest on entire trip; would have been better to stay somewhere a bit closer to central city, even eastern Palermo We were not able to get into outstanding and Swoop recommended restaurants; you should urge your clients to think about making reservations well before they leave for the trip Guide was fine; we arranged to go to a tango performance which we highly recommend Buenos Aires was a terrific city that is a must for travelers going to Patagonia

How was your experience in El Calafate and El Chalten?

Highlight was definitely hike on Perito Moreno; also going to visitor center and walking on platforms that faced the glacier El Chalten was a great experience as well; cool little town; had two surprisingly great meals as well; very nice hikes Accommodation was just OK; staff was very helpful but room was tiny; perhaps unavoidable given size of town El Calafate hotel was much better and staff was very helpful Transport worked fine although in both directions the vans were at capacity and could barely accommodate luggage Drive through steppes between Calafate and Chalten at sunset in both directions was an unexpected delight We probably could have used more information about what was in store for both areas; would have liked to spend more time at glacier overlook; it was nice to have a private driver but would have been better if he spoke English

How was your experience in Torres del Paine?

Explora hotel; room with magnificent view; great service Highlight was probably Alto Torro walk Everything lived up to expectations Not much wildlife French Valley hike was very crowded Guides were excellent Highly recommend using Explora Transport worked perfectly

How was your Patagonian cruise?

Cape Horn and penguins were highlights but every excursion was great; staff on Australis were terrific, including guides, hosts, lecturers and zodiac drivers Wildlife was extraordinary: penguins, albatross, dolphins, condors, other birds Ship was fine, food OK, cabin was fine, public areas better Logistics worked well

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

You do a good job of this but it is worth noting again: make sure to bring appropriate layers to be prepared for changing weather; rain pants and rain/wind jacket are essential.

Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)

Antartica would probably be a bit too cold for us but I am sure it would be great for others. We would like to share some photos
