Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
The weather can be very varied in November - pack the right kit, more warm gear is better.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes - appreciate the mountains and outdoors even more - the locals were friendly - safe place - back to the region for the dessert in two years time.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Swoop team were very helpful and good with comms prior to departure and the information received and Swoop information guides were excellent. When in Country we had a good local Guides - all very knowledgeable, friendly and spoke good English. We had a few days in Argentina where the weather (120-180Km) extreme strong winds which closed the area dow, The local Swoop agent tried hard to work around the travel restrictions, but was not successful due to the restrictions and lack of other travel options. I/we felt the local agent could have been proactive - she did not seem aware of the scale of the problem, she did communicate well. I/we felt she could have looked at alternative local trip options as we were almost hotel bound for two days, other people in the hotel managed to go on other local trips, especially on the second day when our crossing from Argentina to Chile by coach was pushes back 9 hours, other travellers we spoke to went on last minute arranged local trips.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Correctly prepared, right kit and we were familar with the schedule and logistics.
