Tell us about the Trekking

The hikes were really amazing! All the guides were really great! The one guide (Julia) I would suggest for her to slow down a bit and wait for the group to catch up. We wanted to stay together as a group. Pablo was in the back with the slower people and Julia very far ahead of us. So being in the middle of the group was a bit stressful and I didnt always know which way I was supposed to go - luckily someone from our group came back and got us. I would highly recommend having a guide for all the hikes as they are knowledgeable about hiking as well as the areas!

Tell us about the Excursions

Kayaking - when we kayaked around the Perito Moreno it was spectacular! Our guides were very helpful in teaching us what to do as well as guiding us closer to the glacier. Lago del Desierto and Kayaking - down the river the guides were great! Lito was truly phenomenal! He is very skilled on the kayak! Our treking guide (Julia) went with us which was a bit of a struggle as she had never kayaked before so Lito was predominately with her to keep her safe. She ended up getting stuck numerous times so it did take away from the group experience a bit. I would recommend the trek guides to go kayaking only if they are experienced - not a first timer. Lito took us to Estancia Bonanza after the kayaking and we were able to have some light snacks and tea/coffee/wine - WOW was that amazing!!! The bread that was served was phenomenal and the staff there was playing music and singing - what an a gift for us!! We really appreciated it! Estancia Cristina - riding out on the boat to the estancia was breathtaking! To see some of the broken off pieces of glacier that were still so huge and navigate around them was so amazing! Once we got to the estancia we got into 4X4 van type vehicles and drove up to the top. There was a little misunderstanding because on the itinerary we were told that we got to choose between 4X4ing, horseback riding, fishing or hiking so we had all made our “choices” but then were told that was not the case - we only got to 4X4. After the 4X4 we were served the most delicious lunch! The pumpkin soup as well as all the other food was soooo good! The staff was so friendly and kind! Boat excursion Beagle Channel - we had to switch our time to the morning instead of sunset/cocktails they said due to weather. So our morning trip was really amazing. Seeing the sea lions up close was great! Our boat captain was able to get us very close to the rocks to see the birds and sea lions. Our guide was very friendly and informative! She knows a lot about the area and told us all about it using maps and various other tools! The one thing I would recommend is to have brought food or snack of some sort. We were picked up at 9:00 am and didnt get back until 2:00 pm so we were all very hungry!!! It was so sweet of the boat crew to share what food they brought for themselves with us - but we felt bad. They also did have coffee and tea for us which was very wonderful! Tierra del Fuego by 4x4 - this was so much fun! Our guide - Martine was great! He played some amazing music (Highway to Hell) at the start of our adventure! We were joined by another group which was fun. Lake Fagnano was beautiful to look at while we were served coffe, tea and hot cocoa as well as some cookies. We then took a short hike to the small shelter where the guides made us a very yummy Patagonia barbecue lunch - it was delicious! We were not able to do the canoeing due to the weather. Once again the guides were very friendly and so knowledgeable about the area!
