What was your most memorable moment?
It’s hard to chose one memorable moment but I think sitting at the top of the British gardens view point after traversing the Frances valley was a key highlight The terrain was challenging and spectacular all at the same time. Seeing the blue lake in the distance and hearing the cracks of the glacier as it calves off small looking avalanches shards of ice was exhilarating. In conjunction with all those sites and sounds to be able to drink from the icy river cascading down the slopes was refreshing and so fresh

Please note comments on earlier questions as well Each daily activity was exhilarating and some exhausting Each were coordinated with precision and we were well informed at all times of when we are leaving, what we are doing etc The excursions were great once again well organised, good bus drivers all managing the roads and our safety well The porters were excellent too they helped with one of our team members shoes stuck broke and even welded the sole together one night - really helpful and it made her still be able to participate in the hikes Felipe our guide also was able to help take her boots each day to enable her to hike before she was able to purchase new ones - very inspirational ❤️ Our guides were both the best humans you could ask to accompany you during these magical daily activities - so knowledgeable and great humoured too
Tell us about Torres del Paine
The daily hikes were outlined well in the brochures and each were hard and challenging as presented We were blessed with great weather for the whole week and felt like we had the best of the best Torres Del Paines had to offer
Tell us about the Trekking
Guides were excellent as mentioned earlier, both do experienced and wonderful people to spend time with. I loved the trekking so much, I felt all the hard work I prepared my body well to cope with the challenging terrain and loved the wilderness, the magestic sites at every turn and the way the locals are trying to protect this beautiful landscape It didn’t feel too touristy of abused either
We noticed that the park rangers went on strike on our last day We weee very saddened for them that they are not paid well and don’t have good working conditions I really hope that the government support them better and make sure they look after them properly do they have a happy working environment as they do such a wonderful job and kept their park pristine and us safe
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Make sure you wear your hiking boots on well Bring US dollars for tipping the staff, this was one thing we were not well prepared for and would do it differently next time No need to bring any snacks for your hikes as they provide a lot
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
No I was excited about the Patagonia region before I went and now I want to learn Spanish and return to see more of the spectacular beauty of this place
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I think overall the team at swoop were great Maybe just some more information on tipping which I don’t recall this being provided The other guests had specified information on how much to tip each service staff member during our stay from their your company Apologies if you did send it but both of us missed it
