Southbound was a better local provider than H and T. Victoria our guide in Buenos Aries was fantastic. The Tango NYE dinner show Kathryn picked was extremely professional and very, very fun!
Tell us about Explora
It met or exceeding all of my expections! I commented on the rest of it earlier. I'll just cut and paste here. Explora was an amazing hotel, Amazing views, Amazing hikes, Amazing guides, Amazing food and service. Did I mention this was amazing? ha. There were excursions for every level of hiking experience all with big spectacular views. The guides were so knowledgeable and with the small groups 4 to 6 people max in the groups, they made sure everyone felt welcome and encouraged to do our best. They were so friendly. They truly listened in planning which hike we would do. They listened not to just our words, but inflection and body language. At dinner we would compare what each group did and everyone was happy with what was selected, challenging but not over the top and not too easy to be boring. Explora really did a good job of selecting and training the guides. The service at the bar and restaurant was very smooth. Again, the weather was perfect for us. No rain, not too hot, not too cold. Very windy at times.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Start early. Don't even plan a kayaking excursion.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I appreciate all of the beauty that nature has to offer from all around the world.

We were pretty well prepared.
