Tell us about EcoCamp

Exceeded expectations. Every single staff member is engaged, helpful and considerate. Our suite dome was gorgeous and comfortable -- would definitely stay longer if possible to experience more of the Eco Camp offerings (eg yoga, sound bath). All transport, coordination with guides, Paine Grande Refugio, went smoothly. Guides very knowledgeable, kind, encouraging, excellent English. Muchas gracias Martín and Nadia!

Tell us about Los Glaciares

Highlight was day one trek to Laguna de los Tres. Incredible views, hiking, history/knowledge shared by guides. Amazing views at the top. Enjoyed the long hike back into town. Group felt a bit too big when we started (eg congestion on the trail itself, wide range of abilities in the hikers), but situation resolved with 3 hikers self-selected to turn around and be guided back to town by guide #2 Francisco so afternoon was much more relaxed and a better fit of abilities.

Tell us about Torres del Paine

Amazing. One of my all time favorite adventures right up there with our week long trek thru the Dolomites. I've been telling friends/family that TDPaine (and Patagonia overall) is just more pristine, more wide open spaces that what we experience in North America in our national parks. Loved that there were fewer people, less trash, more "wild" spaces.

Tell us about Santiago

Hotel was incredible. Casas del Bosque was incredible. City tour was good -- but even better guide (Juan)!

Tell us about the Trekking

Excellent guides both in Los Glaciares and Torres del Paine! They make or break your experience and we thank our lucky stars that we had fabulous, experienced, talented guides

Tell us about the Excursions

Our guide in Santiago - Juan - was very knowledgeable & a great communicator (eg what to expect, where we are going next, what is historical significance). He & our driver(s) were always on time, provided assistance with bags, and the vehicles were comfortable and very clean.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Give yourself plenty of time to plan and research. We started looking into Patagonia in late spring of 2025 for the trip that eventually came to fruition in March 2026. Consider asking for/booking some unscheduled days so you can actually pause and soak it all up. While we were thrilled to be able to explore and hike in both Torres del Paine National Park and Los Glaciares National Park, we did feel rushed during our time in Los Glaciares (El Chalten & El Calafate) as each of our mornings started at 7-7:30m and often not wrapped up until 5-6pm and then sometimes had a transfer in the evening and trying to find dinner at 9pm, followed by a pick up at 6:30am on the following day. We did not feel rushed during our longer stay at Eco Camp in Torres del Paine.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

Experiences/trips ALWAYS offer a wonderful perspective shift. Just so appreciative that there are wild, big open spaces like Patagonia and reinforces that we all need to do our part in protecting the planet.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?

Very excited and prepared.

Yes

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

The initial exploratory phase and booking of our adventure was wonderful and stoked our enthusiasm. Our Patagonia Specialist was Nicolas and I'm so thankful for his amazing customer service, recommendations and timely responses. If I'm being honest, the next phase with Customer Service just felt different, e.g., at times it was frustrating and slow (e.g. 2-3 days -- not counting weekend days, simply 2-3 business days before we would even receive an acknowledgement, and then often a "we'll get back to you shortly" message, and then an actual response in the days following). We did adjust our stay in Patagonia after our original booking to allow us to see both national parks, and eventually added on an extension in Santiago. It felt like this was a hassle for the Customer Service team.
