What was your most memorable moment?
This is a very hard question! We absolutely enjoyed every part of our holiday Swoop organised for us. Patagonia was beyond our expectations!

Tell us about the Excursions
I would recommend everything to other travellers! Having guides at our destinations was wonderful - all were very experienced, loved their work and were so enthusiastic about sharing their piece of Patagonia with us. For us having the guides meant we went further, saw more and enjoyed the experiences. I found your gear lists very helpful and packed accordingly and we used everything. We had remarkable weather for the 3 weeks in Patagonia and enjoyed sunshine, warm temperatures and no wet weather! We were very happy not to need our wet weather gear! However it was very useful on the boat trip for warmth and to stay dry when outside at sea! I would recommend a comprehensive first aid kit - dressing for gashed and cuts, blister blockers, antiseptic cream - we didn't use them for ourselves but needed them to help our fellow travellers! We also take antibiotics, pain relief etc with us. As well as personal medications. The guides carried good first aid kits on our walks etc.

Swoop also booked a guide and driver for us in Buenos Aires for us. Jeremias was fantastic - a local who loves his city and is so enthusiastic about showing us the sites. It was a great experience - which we so enjoyed.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Go now! It is the most beautiful place - beyond my imagination and expectations! Swoop's gear list is fantastic! First - make sure you are fit enough to walk 16 - 24 km a day up and down hill - nothing is flat! We recommend wearing layers of clothing rather that one shirt and a super warm jacket. The temperatures vary, and you get very hot walking up hill and go around a corner into a very cold wind. Our layers of technical sportswear worked very well especially the merino layers and sox. Make sure you have worn your hiking boots LOTS before you start! Other walkers in our group needed help with blisters
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I did not expect the area to be so vast and remote - and so incredibly beautiful.

Swoop has been fantastic to deal with. When dates got changed a couple of weeks prior to our departure they changed our bookings accordingly and recommended and added some great options. Thank you!
