Tell us about Hotel Las Torres
Hotel Las Torres was above and beyond our expectations. The aesthetic is gorgeous, natural, mountain, sleek, comfortable. The staff are very friendly and take wonderful care of the guests. The food is high quality and the emphasis on sustainability is admirable. I believe that the distillery and brewery belong to the hotel. The beer and whisky produced there is exceptional. Many of the vegetables and herbs used in the drinks and food are sourced right at the hotels greenhouse. Also, we loved riding the horses on the ranch and seeing them come galloping in from the park in the morning.
Tell us about Torres del Paine
The ride and hike to the Towers was a highlight of our trip.
Tell us about Los Glaciares
The hike to Fitz Roy was the most difficult during our trip, but also the best and most rewarding in terms of beauty and exhiliration.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
It was very helpful to me to have the people at Swoop Patagonia to organize my trip and include all of my interests. The planning and execution was seamless.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I found communication was not totally smooth in the beginning. In terms of reaching out to the person conncected to my Adventure Planner, it wasn't entirely clear how to reach her. We were very fortunate everything was totally smooth. I wasn't 100 percent confident that if there was an issue, I could reach someone from Swoop. Also, on the last day checking out, my husband went to the desk without me and didn't realize that we had already paid for the Total Paine experience which cost about 130 USD each. We had paid ahead of time as recommended by our Adventure Planner. When he checked out, we were again charged for that excursion. I was able to sort it out with the hotel via email as I learned of the double charge as we were leaving for the airport. I still need to double check that we were refunded. However, I included Swoop Patagonia on the email requesting refund for the double charge. I never heard anything from Swoop regarding the resolution for this. It's not clear to me if we paid more to have Swoop book everyhing. I do truly appreciate all that they did to organize, but I feel that communication is a bit slow when there is an issue.
