What was your most memorable moment?
Hiking up to the second bridge and then on to the lookout point for Grey glacier was most memorable for us. We did not expect to do that on day 4, the guide gave us that option to do it on the day 4, instead of day 5. It was a great call and the weather was perfect (next day not so much). We totally lucked out on all 4 days with great weather.

Tell us about Torres del Paine
TDP absolutely lived up to our expectations. The stays at Refugios were even better than we expected. We were vegetarians and we good good options for all 3 meals. The service staff all all 4 Refugios were great and the guide provided us with additional coffee, and help as needed.
Tell us about the Trekking
The guide overall was very knowledgeable about the area, the W-Trek itself and the daily changing conditions.We felt confident that he could help us if we got injured or needed any help along the way. Otherwise, he set the pace on the way up (and waited if needed) and on the way down he would be at the back of the group. He was also able to modify the trip on the very last day by getting us on to an earlier boat and bus ride and back to Puerto Natales. This helped us a lot as we needed rest on final day.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Yes, you could be more descriptive of the every Refugio on the W-Trek. This helps with what we bring on the trip, for example we could have brought less gear, knowing the bedding were very comfortable (no need for liners or pillows), plenty of water on the hike itself (carrying just 1 liter would have been sufficient). Please nail down the details and request your customers to carry less, carry a day pack etc. Nailing down the details for W-Trek would help other hikers.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes, it was an one of the best hikes I have done, and I have done many around the world. The fact that I was able to do it with my daughter, made it double the fun. I would highly recommend Swoop / this trip to anyone who likes to hike.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Just get details of facilities, food options and lot of pictures of the Refugios on your website. Show minimum gear that we have to bring on the trip. Show a picture of typical packed lunch, there was plenty of food in there and no need to bring anything additional.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very prepared and quite excited about the whole trip. Having worked with Swoop made us very comfortable going on this journey.
