What was your most memorable moment?
There wasn't 'one' moment, it was amazing from beginning to end. It was the overall experience and no issues with logistics and wonderful weather added to an amazing trip. We felt very taken care of with our agenda. Patagonia is not a whim of a trip and is expensive. I enjoyed 90% of what was provided but there were some accommodations that for as expensive as this trip was I was expecting a little higher standards.

Tell us about Los Glaciares
The itinerary between El Chalten and El Calafate was perfect!
Tell us about Torres del Paine
Pablo is a must for those coming from America - one of the best guides I've ever had and I travel a lot doing these kinds of trips! Keep and give him a raise. I felt very safe and appreciated that after hearing the news of those who passed a couple days after we left.
Tell us about the Trekking
I liked the hikes we did - so no complaints there!
Something Else?
Overall this was a great trip. However, it was all of our trip and the communication was only going to Laurie while we were out/about - that was fine because I didn't have to think about that but that might be something to NOTE ahead of the trip for all those going. Room for improvement - the lunches provided in the different areas, I didn't love. In fact I would have appreciated a little more specific attention to what I would have like to eat on my hikes. Most of the time I didn't eat most of what was provided. Secondly, accommodations outside the Serrano Camp were average. For the price we spent I was expecting just a little higher quality, especially in El Chalten and Punta Arenas. Overall - I was very happy with the trip - all the logistics were good. The only part I didn't love was getting on the bus from Argentina to Chile - it was quite confusing. While I know the driver led us it could have been a little more attention to make sure we were taken care of getting through the hectic lines. Probably best for you to also advise people to brush up on their spanish! Or give key phrases to know ahead of time!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Plan the tips ahead of time to ensure you have the right money. Thankfully between the four of us we were able to help one another out. You definitely tip a guide/driver more if they stay with you 3 days vs. 1 day. That would have been helpful information to know ahead of time!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I travel to expand my horizons - I travel to see the world, meet new people, experience the beauty of our world. So yes - Patagonia was an AMAZING experience I will never forget and I will highly recommend it to friends! I am passing on my itinerary to a few friends who have asked so you may have some new clients!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Our friend, Laurie did most of the contact with Swoop and you all answered our questions through her so thank you. Your drivers, guides, people at the hotel, staff at Serrano camp were all wonderful. It was helpful when they spoke both Spanish & English - shame on us Americans who are not bilingual like those in South America.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I was definitely prepared and our group was fine on all the hiking. The Mt. Fitz Roy hike was the hardest but it was doable and enjoyable.
