Tell us about Explora

Beyond Expectations! The food was divine and the overall dining experience was wonderful. Rooms were big enough and clean and well maintained. The views from the rooms were excellent. The excursion team was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and eager to please. They accommodated every request we had and then some. The soups and coffee at the end of a hike were a 5 star experience. They all really love their jobs and it showed. Attention to details was phenomenal for everything including snacks for hikes, safety, comfort, and expecations.

Tell us about Tierra Patagonia

Its a great property as well. Private rooms was very spacious and had a great view. I did not like the two story design of the private rooms but at least all the living quarters were on the same floor with a seating area upstairs. I feel like we never used the upstairs seating area because of the stairs and lack of time. Food experience was good but not as good as Explora. Our guide was all right but fell short in comparison to Explora.

Tell us about Buenos Aires

Great city and great experience. Wish we could spend another day or two there. Highlight was the Tango show (not the food there) . Just the city vibe was great to watch. While the location of the Hotel was ok, I felt closer to the city would have been better. Not a very memorable hotel

Tell us about Los Glaciares

Majestic place! This was a great experience. I wish we had more time to spend at the glacier location and felt 1.5 hours was just not enough.

Tell us about Santiago

Didn't spend any time except at the airport. LATAM lounge is nice

Tell us about Torres del Paine

Another majestic place! beautiful mountains, hikes, waterfalls!

Something Else?

While the overall trip was wonderful and we will never forget the vacation, simple things would elevate the experience 1. The journey to get there and back is quite long. It would be helpful if we had a day to rest up front and at the end in Santiago. I know it is our mistake for not doing that, but perhaps you could insist future travelers to do so. Swoop was a wonderful partner in this journey and perhaps we would do business again.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

I would stay avoid the shoulder months. While there may be less people there, the chances of bad weather are beyond acceptable since the whole trip rests on being able to be outdoors. Plan your trip with some like Swoop since there are a lot of logistics and moving parts involved, distances are vast.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

1. As I mentioned before, inform the clients the benefits of spending rest day book ends at the beginning and end of the trip, especially the end. 2. The not so great experience for us was the trip from Buenos Aires to El Calafate in terms of timing if being picked up by the hotel. While I didn't use your ticketing agency, I though it was just too expensive to use 3. I am not sure if anyone has stayed in Los Ponchos hotel. Please experience that first hand before suggesting that.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
