Tell us about Patagonia Camp
Pat Camp exceeded our expectations - it was fabulous! Having private yurts with hot tubs and views of Lago Toro worked out great. We enjoyed the varied excursions including Historical Patagonia, Miradores, and the French Valley, along with self-guided excursions on the property. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and the lunches were fantastic. All the staff at Pat Camp were friendly and helpful. Loved it!
Tell us about Torres del Paine
The varied nature of Torres del Paine also exceeded our expectations. Views of the mountains and water from our various hikes, along with the wildlife on the historical excursion, were the highlights. We got great photos, but they don't do it justice - so beautiful!
Tell us about the Excursions
We did excursions in Santiago, Pat Camp, and Buenos Aires, and they were all excellent. The Santa Rita wine tour was exactly what we were looking for with the private transfer, beautiful scenery, and excellent food and wine. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the Pat Camp excursions (see comments above) and the friendly, knowledgeable guides. We did a Buenos Aires city tour with a private driver and guide, which provided a view of many key sites across the city, and Swoop also arranged an enjoyable dinner/tango show experience for us at La Ventana.
Tell us about the Wildlife
We saw the most wildlife on the Historical Patagonia excursion from Pat Camp. Highlights were lots of guanaco, a puma, and a condor, among others. For travelers interested in seeing wildlife, we would recommend this particular excursion. We saw a different part of the park and were able to see the Base of the Towers as well.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
After sharing with Swoop what you're interested in, ask questions and follow their guidance. It worked out great for us! Also, be prepared for it to be VERY windy!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Every trip we've taken to other countries, especially focused on the natural and cultural aspects, has added to our perspective. This trip certainly offered that, and we highly recommend a visit to Patagonia!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
No specific recommendations. Swoop reps were great at communicating with us and getting back with us when we had questions as we planned and prepared for the trip.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We felt very prepared given the planning that went into everything ahead of time. We were super excited for the trip and did not have any concerns.
