Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Listen to your advice about waterproof and warm hiking clothes, including thermal underwear and a cashmere hat and scarf under the hood. Also explore the other accommodations—we enjoyed seeing Grey Lago and Explora. Finally, if you want to hike beyond casually do extra training—the wind and rain are fatiguing so when the weather turns sunny you will want the endurance to enjoy.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I appreciate the gorgeous multi-dimensional scenery, not only the lush hills, beautiful colored lakes ice-capped mountains but also the stunning and changing sharp could formations. I also loved drinking water from a stream without tablets; nice to know there is untouched water somewhere still.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
We made reservations several months in advance. It would be great if someone proactively gave us advice 4-6 weeks before our trip, not just send an invoice last payment due asap and you need to buy travel insurance (but we can’t do that for you)
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We could have been better prepared, but your prep recommendations were solid and we found gabrvraf then more carefully.
