Tell us about Tierra del Fuego

The transfer pick up at Ushuaia was awful. We arrived and had to wait for our luggage about 20 minutes, (not your fault) but when we departed the baggage area your representative was not there to meet us. We waited 30 minutes, making calls to try to find our ride. Eventually the woman showed up, with no apology or explanation. She didn’t talk to us on the way in, no tips or points. She spoke to the van driver, who she had apparently been with rather than waiting for us at the terminal. The bit i could understand with my limited Spanish was inexplicably complaining about us. This really was a terrible pickup and experience.

Tell us about Torres del Paine

The horse ride to enchanted valley and they guides and horses were excellent and this was a close second for my most memorable aspect of the trip.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

It’s really unbelievable that you didn’t communicate with us during trip. Even if a trip has multiple couples traveling, you need to communicate with each couple. Also, it’s unbelievable that you never notified us that our coordinator maki was replaced. Finally, you should make it clear how to access support during trip. We needed help in El Chaten and we reached out to swoop. We never heard back. Eventually we got walk Patagonia's number and they were responsive and helpful, however it was never made clear at the onset how we should seek help. We assumed swoop would always be a poc, but this turned out to not be true.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?

We were prepared. We had good weather and this had too much cold weather gear.
