What was your most memorable moment?
We spent three nights at the Puesto Cagliero Hut in the Huemules reserve. It was so peaceful, so few people, amazing scenery and we did an great hike to Neumayer Glacier - up the via ferrata and glacier hike. Emiliano was our guide and he, and his assistant Valerie were wonderful. And the staff at Puesto Cagliero were all incredible and the food was delicious. We would highly recommend this adventure to everyone who wants a remote experience.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Make sure to ask about activities - for example we just assumed the fly fishing was fly fishing and there would be fish because you booked that trip for us. Also - if people are going over Christmas/New Years, maybe suggest other hikes. When we hike the French Valley it was so crowded. We ended up not doing the Base of the Towers hike on New Year's Day (it also was a national holiday so even more crowds were expected) - but found another hike that we loved and hardly saw any people but had amazing views of the Towers. A more ample warning about crowds during this time of year would have been nice - we knew it would be crowded, but had no idea of how many people would be on the trails - especially in Chile.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Dealing with the Swoop team was great, with one exception. Booking dinners for Christmas Eve/Christmas Day proved to be a struggle. We had asked about booking these reservations well in advance and were told multiple times that Swoop would help with this when the time came. It was only a few weeks before our trip that we were given info about places, and it proved difficult to get in touch with these places and some were already fully booked or only had very late reservations. This information should be provided earlier and made clear that it's on the client to book dinner reservations (we assumed Swoop could help with this but they only provided recommendations). Had we known this we would have reached out to places further in advance on our own. Otherwise, Alicia and the team were helpful and responsive.
