What was your most memorable moment?
Our trip overall was brilliant but our time in Patagonia was really special, highlighted with horseback riding and trekking to the British Camp.

Absolutely stunning and perfect time of year to go before peak season so it felt like we had the park to ourselves!
Tell us about the Excursions
All of our guides were great and the tours we chose were brilliant. Cactus Valley and stargazing in the Atacama, and British camp and horseback riding in Patagonia were our highlights.
Tell us about the Horseriding
The horse riding at Explora Lodge is a MUST. The guides and Gauchos are fantastic, the advanced ride was an incredible experience and it was such a privilege to be the only person on this tour which made it really special - galloping across Patagonia was the experience of a lifetime!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Absolutely make sure you stay inside Torres del Paine rather than Puerto Natales like other travel agents we spoke to suggested. Being at Explora meant we made the most of our trip to Patagonia and being inside the national park was just stunning and unbelievably restorative.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It's ignited a desire to spend more time in the outdoors, we had such an incredible time hiking in Torres del Paine - it's like nowhere we've ever been and we'd absolutely love to return and explore more!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Swoop have been fantastic throughout, so communicative and really working with us to build the perfect trip. Our only feedback would be that our final hotel (VIK) was disappointing. This is in no way a negative on the service we received from Swoop since we requested to stay here however, we felt the service was really poor and wasn't the end to the trip we'd expected from a 5* hotel. Our suggestion would be that if future customers request to stay at a vineyard hotel then at this price point, there may be better options.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We felt very prepared, the information provided beforehand was really detailed and helpful and we were so excited looking at the excursion options available at Explora and knowing that we'd get to discuss each day with the guide team for the next days excursion, it was really cool to know that our trip would be totally unique in that sense.
