The Quijote hotel in El Calafate was clean and very comfortable, but someone or someplace played very loud music outside our hotel room from 6pm to 6am! It never stopped and I did not sleep a single second of the entire night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the location noise.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
You can never be prepared for everything!
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Extremely excited and we felt we were very prepared but it turns out we were not. The severity of the virus/bug that we got was extreme enough to require a trip to the hospital in Puerto Natales for my husband. He was having a medical emergency - his blood pressure when we got there was 229/132. Had I not taken him there the consequences could have been dire.
