What was your most memorable moment?
The amount i learned about Patagonia and the parks of Chile from Mauricio added so much to the experience. I can’t pick one moment because the whole trip was so fun and special.

Tell us about the Trekking
I cannot stress enough how much joy Mauricio brought to this trip. I have been on multiple group backpacking trips and have never had a guide as knowledgeable to the area and also as fun as him. I cannot imagine it would have been nearly the same trip without the benefit of a local being with us.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Request a local guide for your trip, waterproof your bag, the Refugios provide PLENTY of food if you want to bring nothing.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Not sure about changed but enlightened it. I did not know much about life in Chile before and it is my first time in South America in general and was great to see how proud of a country is it and how beautiful the park is. Back packing always reminds me how small I am in the world
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
More communication about the weather and schedule changes would have been nice. Also a better description of what the Refugio’s offered
