What was your most memorable moment?
There were a number of memorable moments. The setting of Explora was unbelievable. Experiencing fierce winds and constant weather changes in one day/during one hike. Our Explora guides offering hot soup, ham, and hot beverages during our hike break. Seeing animals. Learning about the plants. Camp Chalten was also in a wonderful and peaceful setting and a new experience. There were few negative memorable moments, such as spending an entire day traveling from Chile to Argentina due to long lines at the checkpoints, particularly the first, which took over 2 hours. The Base Torres hike in Torres Del Paine was my least favorite because the challenging hike was extremely rushed and the guides didn’t provide essential information or guidance.

Tell us about the Excursions
Hiking Guide should have had copies of park passes in case original not accessible. Itinerary should have contained reminders and suggestion to photograph. We were forced to purchase 2 additional passes, which was an unnecessary expense.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Take photos of the park passes. Consider spending extra days in Torres Del Paine due to unpredictable weather impacting trail closures. Request drivers who speak primary language, if possible.
Tell us about Explora
As previously relayed, very disappointed with Base Torres guides who rushed the hike - it was not enjoyable as a result. Explora didn’t but should have offered us a packed lunch for the day of departure due to the length travel. Explora should consider replacing old tubs w jets and upgrading w rainfall showers that include a bench.
Tell us about Los Glaciares
Sedan was used to transport our party of 4 from hotel to glacier. Car size was inappropriate. One person sat in front seat, and three people squeezed into back seat with one person sitting in the middle of the seat over the hump.

Unpredictability of weather w possibility of trail closure should be clear communicated during trip planning
Something Else?
Drivers primary language was Spanish instead of English, so a missed opportunity. We were told to bring bottled water to Chalten, but Chalten Camp said camp water was filtered and safe to drink, so this was confusing and also created unnecessary burden.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Overall good trip with few hitches that were avoidable. Trip would have been otherwise flawless.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
See above. Also, reach out to hotels to provide feedback to make sure no issues going forward, eg, make sure showers don’t back up.

Overall, prepared.
