What was your most memorable moment?
Being in the presence of magnificent glaciers up close. Horseback riding in El Chaltén. Unbelievable! Hiking in the forests.

Yes, the large lived up to the expectations! The food, the room, the excellent service, just everything!

Tell us about the Excursions
The excursion options were fantastic. There was always something to do, or not do, depending on your mood or physical capability. We were lucky to be there when the weather was quite beautiful, albeit windy. I think it’s important to keep in mind that a lot of things are weather dependent—be flexible!
Tell us about the Zodiac
Rides were a blast! It was incredible how the organizers could move so many people on and off a boat securely, settling people back-and-forth. It was a true delight!
Tell us about the Horseriding
I cannot say enough about this two hour experience. The horses at the ranch are so well taken care of and manageable. They were truly beasts of beauty. The saddles are super comfortable, so it made riding very pleasant. The scenery, of course was magnificent! We enjoyed the mate at the end of the trip in the goucho’s kitchen. A beautiful and relaxed moment.
Tell us about the Kayaking
Absolutely love being on the river with the people from kayak and Patagonia. Our guides. Matt and Josefe, were so friendly and attentive and knowledgeable. Never felt nervous even when the winds kicked up! I do suggest you be prepared to have some upper body strength, because the winds can really pick up. That said you don’t really need to be inexperienced kayak or to absolutely love this trip.
Something Else?
I just want to say that I know a three week trip in foreign lands can be very stressful. Swoop did an incredible job of stitching every detail together, from our first airport pick up to our last drop off. A+ all around.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Call SWOOP. Say Yes to everything.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
South America was never on my radar. We found the people in Chile, Argentina, Patagonia and everywhere we went to be absolutely wonderful. The history is rich and varied, the wine and food is amazing, the air is clean, the terrain is magnificent —I would go back to explore more any day!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Again, I can’t tell you enough, how impressed I was with the level of detail to each portion of our itinerary. We did kind of go all out on luxury, but you don’t need to to get the same level of service from this company. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
