The only recommendation is to tell people going to Atacama that they should ask for a humidifier when they check in.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Take the time to explore several destinations. It's expensive to get there so you might as well maximize it. Spend the extra to stay in convenient locations and choosing places that include all the explorations is definitely worth it.
