What was your most memorable moment?
Hard to choose, several were bucket listers! Seeing the Horns and Towers of Torres del Paine and Cape Horn were tops. Running into a friend in the bathrooms at Eco camp was crazy! Made new friends, over ate on excellent food.

Tell us about EcoCamp
Food was amazing! Our dome leaked but at least it was right outside the toilets/showers.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Heed the advice given on waterproof hiking clothes/warm coats/gaitors and listen to guides' instructions on the trails. 5 people lost their lives the day we left. They were unguided and I think that contributed to their dire circumstances. Mountain weather can turn deadly in an instant and you must be prepared for anything if you want to live to tell the tale!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes. We live in the mountains and are aware of the importance of being prepared, but the tragedy that occurred with 5 hikers losing their lives was hard on everybody in the park that day. Please continue to impress upon visitors who may be unaware of the respect the mountains demand.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I know you guys really try to impress upon customers the importance of heeding advice about clothing and the weather but keep trying to REALLY make those points heard. Not only can the weather cost lives but when others are unprepared it affects those who ARE prepared. We were really disappointed that we had to go back to camp because 2 others were cold and wet, which meant we couldn't do the other hike that was offered after the weather turned us back.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
9 out of 10, but we have only ourselves to blame for leaving a layer of rain gear behind at the restaurant in Iguazu!
