I am unable to find my total amount due. I found the amount of deposit I made, but would like to see the total cost of trip. Also, I will not have travel insurance purchased by the deadline of day after tomorrow. Do not have my entire trip planned yet. thank you

I assumed by using Swoop as my travel agent, I would have access to someone to answer questions via email or a phone call. Sydney responded immediately, and was very helpful, but handed us off to Alicia who we have not heard from.. I have sent an email, and have not heard back. I had expected a bit more attention and detail for what we are paying. I have watched a few videos and read reviews, but have more questions that are specific to our trip alone. Who is my direct contact person? I should have a direct email or number for my travel agent. I do not. I only have a general email to SWOOP which is not helpful. My other travel agent, I am able to pick up the phone and speak to them that day, or at least a message and get a response within 24 hrs. Hope to hear from someone tomorrow AM. Thank you, Robin Kuser

Again, for the international flights, we have 2 international flights with 2 different airlines. For my husbands current international flight, please delete the document that is currently in there. The wrong document was uploaded. Also, I would like my daughter to have full access to our trip. I could not find a login on SWOOP website. I can’t even login. I have to go to one of your emails to click on a link. What am I missing? Thank you

Hi Alicia, I sent an email on Saturday asking about the horse riding on Feb 1st, and noticed on the more recent itinerary the ‘bike ride’ had been corrected to horse back riding. My other question is about our transportation. what does: “shared, driver only” mean? There is a couple that will be on our cruise that have asked if they can join our shuttle from El Calafate Airport to El Chalten. Thank you, Robin

Thankful for the detailed Itinerary from Swoop, otherwise we would have really missed out on a lot of wonderful information. I am waiting to hear if we are getting a reimbursement for 2 nights we did not stay at the Serrano Riverside Camp. The major accommodation screw up in Torres del Paine. El Chalten: We love the guide Virginia, but kayaking Lago del Desierto was very underwhelming. Hokey. We would have preferred kayaking at Perito Moreno. We were disappointed with the lack of time we had to enjoy El Chalten. In hindsight, we would have skipped the Los Huemules Reserve hike. It was beautiful, but took most of the day and there were other hikes closer to town, that would have been just as beautiful, and would not have a fee. The Senderos Suites was great. Staff was fabulous. Walk Patagonia did a good job with our lunches. Our transfer to Calafate (private driver) was very kind and helpful. He stayed and made sure we got on the bus! LOL Bus trip to Puerto Natales was great. We should have been dropped off earlier and a bus stop that was closer to Torres del Paine. More than half the bus got off there to meet there guides. We went all the way into Puerto Natales, to then drive back past that bus stop. A real waste of travel time. Even the guide who picked us up commented on that. Did not need a guide for Mirador Cuernos, or Mirador Condor. Just a driver. Speaking of the driver-Bastian. He was great. We really liked him. He enjoys photography and took some nice candid shots of us. Our guide Mateis was a nice guy, but, not the right fit for us. Also, we feel we should have been informed up front that we were going to HAVE to eat all of our meals with our guide and driver. We think we understand the rational behind it, but our guide was not the right fit. He did not ask one question to learn anything about us. He was kind, and was always holding the door, pouring us coffee, carry something for us, etc… but he was NO Virginia! We met another guide at the camp, name-Jose. Now he is a guide. We would have loved eating all our meals with him. He gave us more information in 5 minutes than we got the entire time we were with our guide. Now, we don’t want Mateis to know how we felt. He may be perfect for someone else. We just did not care for him, which was very unfortunate. It was bad enough to not get the 4 nights we were suppose to have at the camp, but to sit at dinner and have little to no conversation was painful.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Get trail maps. I was surprised we were not provided any trail maps. If you are in your 60’s - 70’s like us, you need to physically train for some of the hikes we did! Fitz Roy and the French Valley.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I loved the passion and enthusiasm both Sydney and Alicia have for Patagonia. Their first hand experience is why we chose SWOOP. They answered all our questions and we LOVED the detailed itinerary. What I was not aware of was how we would be handed off to 3rd and 4th parties, with no What’s App contact number. I tried to contact Swoop through the emergency contact number they gave us by using What’s app, but it did not work. I guess the number provided is for phone call only. The only mode of contact I could use was through email. Thankfully, Alicia responded pretty quickly. Chile Nativo NEVER contacted us to apologize for their MAJOR screw up. NO ONE in the management contacted us to tell us what was going on, what they were doing. Just nothing. They had all their staff at the camp do it. Not okay. Maybe it’s cultural how problems are handled.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Again, LOVED the itinerary. Very, very helpful. Loved the special notes and all the details. The one guide Virginia was an added complement to the itinerary. Should have had the same for Torres del Paine. We were definitely prepared and actually packed well…thanks to our final call with Alicia.
