The transfer at the the end of the W trek was not handled well. Two of the group had bookings at a remote camp rather than back at Pueto Natales. So the whole group ended up diverting off the direct route back to drop them off. So we left the park got on the main road and then left it again for an hour and a half of bumpy dirt roads to drop them off. We finally got to our hotel at 9.15 pm without any dinner and having started at 5 that morning, so a super long day made significantly longer. The guides did help us get some dinner but it was still after 10 pm and then we had to shower and pack for the flight the next morning so not a great end to the trip
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
The Chile side scenery was spectacular with the wild flowers and comparative green to the Argentinian side
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Well prepared, it’s a difficult climate to prepare for and consecutive days weather could not have been more different!
