What was your most memorable moment?
We really enjoyed trekking on the Perito Moreno glacier - it was our first time in crampons and it was a beautiful day with a wonderful guide.

Tell us about Patagonia Camp
Absolutely superb service.
Tell us about Torres del Paine
We weren't able to do all the hikes that we had hoped to do (since Mike was suffering some knee pain) but we did do the French Valley hike as planned. Our guide seemed to be rushing us a bit (he was worried about getting back to the catamaran) and as a result, this hike felt a little rushed. We ended up having to wait at the camp for over an hour for the catamaran, so definitely would've had more time on the trail. But it was still beautiful.
Tell us about the Excursions
The excursion to Perito Moreno glacier was really great. We were picked up by a big tour bus as part of a bigger tour, and because our hotel was one of the last pickups, we waited about an hour for the arrival of the bus. It might've been good to know that, as we were concerned for a while that we'd been left behind.
Tell us about the Trekking
We had many guides over the course of the trip, and they were all excellent.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Definitely plan for many layers of clothing (as recommended by Swoop), weather changes quickly. We did laundry several times along the route. Would be good if Swoop shared more information on where laundry is available and approximate pricing at hotels that do laundry. We did some on our own and also paid a few places to do some for us. Laundry was very expensive at Patagonia camp so we did our own there. Also, important to bring small bills for lots of tips. We ended up hitting ATMs a few times, but it was difficult to get change into smaller bills. We kept buying water bottles to break bills into smaller amounts for tipping.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Not really - it was what I expected altough Buenos Aires really exceeded our expectations and I could see revisiting there. We wished we'd had a little more time there to explore.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Overall it was a great experience.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We were well prepared and very excited. This was the #1 trip on our bucket list.
