Something Else?
We enjoyed Lou Suites in Iguazu very much. The rooms was spacious, with a balcony. The swimming pools were beautiful! The bathrooms were well-equipped. One surprising thing was that the restaurant staff were limited in their English skills, even though many of the guests seemed to be English speakers.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
A few pieces of Swoop information were not up to date. The adventure planner talked about getting a QR code upon entry to Argentina at the airport. This was not the case. There was no code provided, and we didn’t need one. Also, the packing list for the glacier-Cape Horn trip listed a waterproof backpack or waterproof cover. But Australis gives every passenger a dry bag with back straps, so worrying about our own backpacks for excursions was unnecessary. Local partners: H & T sent us a welcome txt via What’s App the day before we arrived, which was very helpful because their driver went to the wrong airport terminal andwe waited more an hour for him to meet us. The H&T staff was helpful during this time, though it took several texts back and forth before they figured out what was happening. Allowing a minimum of 5 hours between arrival at the international BA airport and the flight up to Iguazu felt unnecessary. Even though our driver was on hour late, we made it up to the domestic BA airport and would have had plenty of time to get the next earlier flight (4:15pm instead of 6:40pm). The domestic airport was kind of hot and it was frustrating waiting that much extra time. In Chile, the Cascade local partner was not as proactive. I reached out to them to confirm our pick up arrangements. Luckily we didn’t have any problems with the drivers. Although the driver who met us in Santiago was not very helpful with our bags at the pick up or drop off. But that’s a small note.
