There were several issues that significantly affected our experience: • The hotel pickup change was not communicated to Chile Nativo Chile Nativo were not properly informed about food arrangements. • Most concerning, the guide repeatedly made discouraging remarks about “slow hikers,” stating that he would decide what was fair based on his time and the other couple’s time. This created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. Before booking, I specifically asked about accommodations for slower hikers and was reassured that this would not be an issue. However, the guide’s behavior directly contradicted that reassurance. He implied that one member of our group should turn back and repeatedly suggested it was unfair for him or the other couple to wait for slower hikers. On the final day, we left Rio Serrano camp at around 3-3.15 AM and started the hike at approximately 5:38 a.m.The reasonyet we were still not allowed to attempt the final mile. After I raised my concerns directly with Diego, the guide, he changed his explanation and stated he was worried about boulders on the final stretch, which conflicted with his earlier reasoning. As soon as my daughter heard the guide’s comments, she lost interest in continuing. What was meant to be a positive and memorable experience for our family became discouraging and upsetting. We should have been treated with the same consideration as any other participants. If guides are unwilling to accommodate slower hikers or require a specific pace, this should be clearly stated in your policy and communicated in advance. In hindsight, the trail itself did not require a guide, and I wish this had been made clearer before booking. I would also like clarification on whether you communicated our needs and concerns to Chile Nativo, as the experience suggests there was a breakdown in communication. I am extremely disappointed in the service provided and hope you will take this feedback seriously to prevent similar experiences for future guests.

Trails are well marked, no need for a guide especially in summer with longer hours. GI at your own pace with adequate supplies
