Kayaking next to a huge blue ice berg, struggling upp the final rocky path and suddenly seeing the majestic Tres Torres rising above the blue glacier lake.

Tell us about Torres del Paine
I really loved the variety of the landscape, geography, flora and fauna here. From very busches and flowers at lower levels to the rocky more unfriendly slopes higher up. And everywhere this blue almost unreal glacier lakes. I also appreciated the always changing weather. Remember one night lying in the tent listening to the storm outside. You feel quite small in those moments!

I would definitely recommend a self guided trek!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
-The water you find in all the creeks along the path is so good, just bring a light bottle and fill it frequently! -Most important clothes: high quality rain/wind protection like a light (!) GoreTex-jacket/pants, great so you don’t get wet and then cold in the strong wind. Second, a light down jacket to put on when you sit down for a rest. Keeps you warm in any weather!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It’s a great feeling to know that there are still some places on earth where man hasn’t destroyed the nature, where water is clean, no roads cut through the landscape and where you can watch the stars at night without being disturbed by city lights.

Keep on doing what you do, it’s just great work!

Quite well prepared and 100 % excited!
