What was your most memorable moment?
There were so many. Highlights: Cerro Castillo hikes and glorious views; The Marble Caves by kayak with the sun shining; hiking and seeing guanacos in Patagonia National Park; getting to know the boardwalks of Tortel; hot springs and close ups with dolphins in Puyuhuapi fiord. We loved being immersed in this extraordinarily beautiful and sparsely populated area of Patagonia. Seeing the stunning blue lakes and glaciers was soul-feeding. And we enjoyed self-driving! Reliable, great car. All the accommodations were great with lots of character.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very well prepared and excited. So great to arrive at an accommodation or activity and be recognized right away. Great planning, Swoop staff.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
The people are so friendly and eager to help. Google translate was very helpful for us, since our Spanish is not good. Don't expect much from the local food. Although it is good and fresh, we found it generally bland and not very imaginative. The local dish with meat, vegetables, potatoes and fried eggs all together was kind of fun. Wonderful to drink water directly from a glacier. Prepare to be completely awed by the amazing landscape. So many gorgeous lakes, mountains, glaciers. The best hiking anywhere.
